Identified Gap/Needs Statement: There is a continued release of new clinical studies and standards regarding the diagnosis of heart disease through the use of an echocardiogram. In order to maintain a standard of care within the healthcare community, the new findings need to be discussed with the team of health care professionals who are involved with the echocardiogram assessment to promote safety and proper communication of results.
The Target Audience for this CME Event is designed for: Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, Primary Care Physicians, Stroke Care Physicians, Internal Medicine, Interns, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Echocardiographic Technicians, Emergency Room Physicians and other Healthcare Providers
The specific objectives for this program are as follows:
- Identify and review the pathology and diagnosis for the topic being presented
- Review the clinical presentation for the designated topic
- Apply knowledge about the topic in the clinical setting
- Communicate important features of the topic with other members of the health care team
