We are saving lives in our community, you can help!
The Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation is working to save lives, and create a heart safe community, through our Operation Revive program by placing defibrillators in our community to provide assistance in the event of a cardiac emergency.
Operation Revive completed placing AEDs in all McLean County law enforcement/first responder vehicles, thus launching its second phase of defibrillator coverage to place AEDs in McLean County schools, athletic fields, and sports facilities to protect area youth.
Placing defibrillators in McLean County schools and athletic facilities more than doubles a cardiac victim’s cardiac chance of survival.
To date, Operation Revive has donated 138 AEDs throughout the McLean County community.
100% of the proceeds from Operation Revive stay in our community to save the lives of your family, friends, and neighbors.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen to anyone — even our children.
In February of 2017, Kai Bates-Diop, a 16-year old athlete at University High School, suffered a life-threatening event in which his heart stopped beating during basketball practice. Thanks to proper training, and an onsite Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Kai survived.
