As the holidays approach, we could all use the reminder to slow down, and enjoy the season. Especially those who have recently experienced a heart-attack or stroke. As I can attest to personally, a life-changing health experience may mean you need to make a few adjustments during the holiday season- delegate responsibility, tone down some of the “must do” traditions, and ask for help!

Take this time to remember that the holidays are about family, friends, and loved-ones- cut yourself some slack, allow yourself the gift of being present in the moment, and find a New Normal.
