Recently there have been several stories of high-profile celebrities understanding the importance of CPR/AED training. Most notably, Bob Harper, the well-known fitness trainer, suffered a cardiac arrest while working out at a gym in February. Luckily a physician was in the facility and used an AED to save Bob’s life.
Actor Ryan Reynolds revealed that he once saved his nephew’s life by using CPR learned by being CPR certified. He recently renewed his CPR certification to ensure he knew what to do with two small daughter’s in the home.
The Chicago Cubs recently underscored the importance of CPR/AED training by hosting a CPR training day on August 18th, 2017. All staff was trained how to intervene in the event of a cardiac emergency at Wrigley Field (and at home).
