On August 27th the Illinois Heart and Lung Foundation hosted its 2nd annual Stayin’ Alive Defibrillator Drive at the Double Tree Hotel to raise funds to place Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in 15 rural communities that do not have access to AEDs in the event of a cardiac emergency.
This year we had over 200 attendees- our largest crowd to date! There were a myriad of fun twists this year from a new raffle from Jack Lewis Jewelry, a wine grab, and a photo booth with an assortment of props With the hard work from our Stayin’ Alive Committee, and donations from generous local businesses, we were able to raise over $40,000 to place live-saving AEDs in our McLean County community.
Thank you to all who attended for making this the most successful event to date!!
