The Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation hosted two free CPR/AED trainings in partnership with Advocate Heart Institute at BroMenn Medical Center at Heartland Community College on Saturday, February 27th. Our goal was to provide Operation Revive grantees and community members an opportunity to receive CPR/AED certification. Increasing bystander intervention significantly improves sudden cardiac arrest survival rates. As a result of our training, McLean County how has 88 newly-certified community members ready to intervene in the event of a cardiac emergency.
A very special thanks to our McLean County CPR/AED instructors for teaching our 88 students!
